SATHEE extends its hands to Primary Schools

With enterprise of SATHEE arsenic removal unit and sanitation block have been installed with contribution of the local people and Ghetugachhi GP in Mandlhat Primary School of Chakdah Block in Nadia district of West Bengal, India. The local people and the students of the school feel lucky as they had to suffer from scarcity of safe water and sanitation.

Special arrangement for the disabled children

SATHEE made a successful attempt to liaison with Chakdah Block authority of West Bengal and as a result of it a toilet block for disabled children has been constructed with the fund from the Block in Krishnagopal Vidyapith of Chakdah Block in Nadia district of West Bengal, India.

In the toilet block there are a numbers of latrines, urinals, hand washing stations with special arrangements of ramp and handrail in separate facility for boys and girls have been designed gracefully.

Another Arsenic Removal Unit installed

By the initiative of Nabarun Sangha club of Kakpool, Ashoknagar, North 24 paraganas, West Bengal, India, Sathee installed another Arsenic Removal Unit in the same region on April 11, 2010.

World Water Day Celebration

On 22 March, 2010, we organised a day long programme with 450 school children conducting various programmes such as discussion session, road rally on safe handling of water, conservation of water and importance of proper sanitation. The school children of Ichapur Adibasi High School, Chakda Block, Nadia, West Bengal, India, performed a stage drama to mark the occasion.

The programme was concluded with a lecture by Dr Tulsi Dey, lecturer, Kalyani University, West Bengal, India.
